Finca Cortesin - World Match Play
Match Play is back on the map
Yes, as of September 2009 Finca Cortesin will be the new home of the Volvo World Match Play Championship. The 2009 European Tour schedule contains several big changes as things heat up in the new ‘Race to Dubai’, but none are quite as radical as the relocation of the World Match Play.
The tournament has a long and rich history, having taken place every year since 1964 at the wonderful Wentworth Club in Surrey. This however, will be it’s new home, and we’re certain it will be a wonderful host venue.
